Gorgeous rare Dry creek, Nevada hand mined turquoise beads in light blue color measuring generally 5mm to 14.5mm. 16" strand. Strands sold separately. Very rare beads! It is said the Shoshone Indians first discovered the mine. A very hard, pale blue turquoise with a golden to deep brown color matrix, Dry Creek turquoise is found at the Godber-Burnham mine in Lander County, Nevada.This stone is not to be confused with or referred to as "white buffalo".This is the only known vein of this material, making Dry Creek a highly collectible turquoise.
