The Lone Mountain turquoise mine, originally called the Blue Jay mine, is located in Esmeralda County, Nevada, not far from Tonopah. Lone Mountain turquoise is known for its ability to hold color and not fade. The mine has produced some of the highest quality spider web turquoise as well as beautiful lucid deep blue stone and is mined by hand in very small lots. Colors range from pale almost white sky blue to shades of greens. Extremely rare turquoise, perfect for the American turquoise collector.
