Staurolite Fairy Cross Quartz Pendant Sterling

Gorgeous natural Staurolite or Fairy Cross Stone we set in our sterling silver pendant! 1.75" overall size. 925 sterling. Staurolite is best known for its distinctive, cross-shaped penetration twins, where two rectangular crystals intersect each other to form a perfect cross. However, its most common twinning habit is in bisecting crystals with a 60å¡ angle that can appear in the shape of an "x" when the crystals are elongated. Found in the Hondo Canyon, Taos Co., New Mexico.
